The idle mind is the devil's playground.

About Stephan

a graduating student from the Arts Institute

I am a budding game/graphics/tools programmer in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. After obtaining my first bachelor's degree at the University of British Columbia (in Animal Physiology) I have made up my mind to devote my time and enegy on something that I am truely passionate about. Video games have been a main part of my life from as far as I can remember. My first console was the NES and my first game was Super Mario Bros. Coincidentally, I am also a computer enthusiast. I assembled my own desktop when I was 15, learned Logo and Pascal during that time as well, and my latest personal project is a musical game made in XNA 2.0.

Many say that I am lucky to be living in Vancouver, since the video game industry is rapidly maturing here with the establishment of various game studios. I tend to think that I am lucky that I am obsessed with video games such that I can always find a job that I love anywhere in the world.

I currently work in a major video game developing/publishing company located in Burnaby, Vancouver, B.C. as an assistant test coordinator. I have been an employee since 2008 and the experience has been great. New technologies that can change the industry come out everyday, new skills are introduced and learned everyday and all my colleagues are enormous sources of experience and information.
