不知不覺在game testing部門斷斷續續工作已經快一年, 原本準備全職投入, 不料人事部的連絡人忽然有好介紹. 她說看到我有一點編程和HTML經驗, 可能適合到遊戲互動網站部門. 兩星期前經過一個跟該部門上司(就是我現任上司)短短的一個phone interview後, 人事部通知我到新dept做一個星期試試, 當probation period. 今天終於正式簽了三個月的約, 在不加薪的情況下升職. 我不介意, 一來終於不用終日play test可以嘗試其他挑戰, 二來這個崗位和公司開發部的core team有緊密連繫, 絕對是networking良機, 三來我有自己的桌不用跟別人共用了!
As of today I no longer take my one class every week. It might come as a shock to some people but this one class has been taking up a big chunk of my time and energy. Every Wednesday night has been a stressful one and at times Thursdays were “class 8:30am to 10:30am-> work 11am to 5:30pm-> church group meet from 8pm to 10pm”
But it doesn’t matter anymore, right now I’m uploading my last assignment + final exam thingy (it’s a network enabled 3D environment OpenGL runtime program with two controllable players and cameras). Definitely the most time-consuming class I’ve ever taken so far. My blogging activities had also been grind to a halt, I resorted to twittering most of the time. But it doesn’t matter anymore..
If I do wake up from my sleep I’m gonna go have some fun.

On the other hand, registered for another class starting in April. This is the recommended book for it.
What a Christmas, what a december. I:
* Learned that (my sister + my jeep compass + fresh snow + light pole = $2,500+
* Learned a thing or two about changing tires (today i am a man) and also what those numbers on tires mean
* Pushed a few cars
* Received a surprise ticket to watch “Beauty and the Beast” musical with my kimhan (babe..)
* Also had a chance to take a nice walk in the snow to enjoy an hour of high tea with the missus (it was before the snowing turned hostile and cars started running into each other)
* Accidentally finished the Simpsons game on DS (I was just installing windows on my parent’s new computer and wanted to kill time), next I put in FFIII which I put away because I got lost in its non-linear storyline and didn’t know where to go next and what mission to complete. Just as I thought I figured out how to progress in the story within two minutes.
* Practically took the whole month off work, not that I already work many days a week to begin with..

For next year, I will: (they’re not resolutions, because I’ve come to learn that they never get done if you call them that)
* Secure a job which allows me to at least be a part of what I’m passionate to do
* Finish reading the Bible, cover to cover
* Lose the lovehandles
* Less delay between “plan” and “do”
Sounds easy.

Point taken, mother nature.
No wind at all throughout the whole night, meaning all the smoke and burnt chemicals stayed at the show area, blocking the rest of the fireworks rendering a visibility below 50% five minutes after show started. Boo to that, but still cool night out!
