Got a metallic pink DS for Hana, since playing Sudoku is one of her favorite time-killers these days.

Me:”Here..”
H:”DS? For me?” *Tries her best not to look disinterested*
Me:”No it’s cool, has BrainAge”
H:”BrainAge?!” *Not hiding the confusion anymore*
Me:”There’s a great Sudoku game in it”
H:”Aww thank you babe!”

16年後終於見到爆機畫面! 其實Bad End有許多個, 而且很容易就會落入. 我經已儘量找一個適合的位置先儲存遊戲, 試過一個ending後再嘗試找其他. 但要Good End實在要backtrack太多, 所以看到眾Bad Ends當中算最好一個就告別這個在我心中永遠有特殊地位的point and click advanture了 :)

As a video game geek I pay my tribute my way to one of my childhood idols, one of the only ones who I don’t feel silly embarrassing imitating (I actually felt hella cool). You are being called the King of Pop only because other performers started calling themselves pop, but the truth is that it is you and only you can represent Pop.

I only played this game a few times at a friend’s house when I was a kid, back then I gave up very soon since it’s not too easy a game. Last night I blew the dust off my Sega Megadrive, put in the cartridge and played through all 6 stages, and saw the ending. Rest in peace MJ, but just for a while don’t take too long, we’re still waiting to see you do the moonwalk on the moon when we look up.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been re-reading “Slam Dunk” these days, or maybe working on Sunday has me desperate enough to watch anything, but this year I might actually try to catch several games on TV. Part of me wants Cleveland to finally win one.

Classic

Three weeks ago I received a phone call, here’s what happened in a nutshell:

“hey Steve, remember that thing you were working on back in janurary?”
“of course?”
“well, it’s not working like it should be. Lots of bugs. We are currently doing a 24/7 coverage thing for it, would you be able to come in for two weeks?”
“definitely, what’s 24/7 coverage?”
“see here’s the thing, you will be covering the evening portion of the coverage. The shift starts at 11pm.”
“but that would mean I will be working til..”
“..uh yeah.”
“I’m in.”
