I just updated WP version from 2.8.3 to 2.8.4, but I vividly remember doing the same thing from 2.8.2 to 2.8.3 just short of a week ago. Why so frequently? Not that it’s a big hassle, updating automatically works like a charm everytime. But having to see that yellow “please update” banner all the time does put me off at times :p

Thanks to Madthiu for the heads up, I upgraded 523 to the WP2.7 beta 3 within minutes (if you don’t count the uploading time) and was pleasently surprised at both the dashboard and the speed of 523! It loads soooo much faster now :D

Can’t wait for the final release of WP2.7

edit: Just testing uploading and posting images, because the uploaded images from before seem to be not working, weird.

but the real reason behind the change is that the newspaper theme seemed to make my blog load slower than usual.
